Chondroprotektiva are now common nutritional dogs in terms of prevention and therapy musculoskeletal diseases. During their long-term development occurs naturally to many changes in their composition. The object of this study was to verify the efficacy and safety of orally administered enzymatically hydrolysed collagen (the UN) as compared to glucosamine sulfate (the GS) in patients with Oste-arthritis knee. Described a parallel, double, blind study lasted 13 weeks. Attended by 100 patients with varying degrees of Oste-arthritis knee.Patients (men and women from 40 years of age) were divided into 2 groups and have been given during the ninety consecutive days is administered ECE (10g) or GS (1.5 g) in bulk form. Patients were interviewed in the investigation and the day 0 and after 15, 30, 60 and 90 days. Patients evaluated in the first place the affected joints and pain together with a doctor investigating the overall development of the disease (pain and swelling of the knee and other joints) and changes in quality of life in general (vitality, general physical comfort and mental health). It was also recorded their consumption of non-steroidal analgesics (ibuprofen) and sampled blood for basic haematological and biochemical tests.
