Czech sports pony

In this issue of our magazine, we prepared extracts from the breeding program and the Order of the stud book in particular related to the new sections. The complete text of both documents can be downloaded from the website of the Association of Unions horse breeders CSP and CR.

Breeding goal

The aim of breeding is a versatile pony riding type with a hard constitution, krmitelnosti good, long-lived, lightweight and resistant to outside influences. Constitution and health status must provide annual economic farming in loose housing with enclosure. Emphasis is placed on good character, prudence, high intelligence, manageability and willingness to work. Czech sports pony is intended primarily for children and youth sport at all performance levels.It is used well as a family horse under saddle and into the yoke and the current riding experience.
KVH in both sexes ranges from 111-156 cm.
Individual herd-books are divided into:
section of the pony - KVH 111-148 cm
section of the small horse - KVH 148-156 cm

Use of other breeds

Breeds that can be used with the consent of the Council of PK and subject to the criteria applicable to breed Czech sports pony, are:

For the pony section:
Stallions and mares of all breeds of ponies of all strokes.
Mare Hucul, Haflinger, Fjord and their hybrids in the type of pony.
Stallions and mares CT, CS, MT, PK Kinsky, A1 / 1, AR1 / 1 hybrid of Arab origin, and possibly other breeds as appropriate,with the recommendation to use individual small stature, with his own sports racing or performance or the performance of progeny.
For a small section of the horse:
Allowed are the following breeds of stallions and mares:

- Czech sports section of a small pony horse, analogous European breeds of small sport horse breeding.
- Czech sports section pony pony, riding pony breeds of Europe.
- Breeds CT, CS, MT, PK Kinsky, A1 / 1, AR1 / 1 hybrid of Arab origin, and other European riding warm-blooded breeds,with the recommendation to use individual small stature, with his own sports racing or performance or the performance of progeny.
